Description
Funding Offer for Individual Assistance in One's Own Household
This funding opportunity is aimed at adults with severe physical, sensory, cognitive, or psychological impairments who have their main residence in the federal state of Salzburg. The goal is to enable self-determined participation in everyday life by covering personnel costs within the service provider model. A professionally recognized assistance service provider assumes all organizational and administrative tasks – from recruitment to scheduling of the assistants. The funding covers 100% of the recognized eligible expenses and can be applied for continuously, as long as equivalent tasks are not already covered by other legal, statutory, or contractual regulations.
Funding Requirements and Application Process
Eligible are persons between 18 and 65 years of age with Austrian citizenship or equivalent residency status, who have a verified need for support and do not reside in supervised facilities. To submit an application, a project proposal including a self-assessment form, proof of citizenship, e.g., authorization of representation, copies of disability ID and notification of a qualifying disability must be provided. After reviewing the documents and a personal clarification interview, the coordination office determines the monthly assistance hours. Medical specialist services, 24-hour care, or workplace-related assistance are not eligible for funding. With this tailored support, assistance recipients can strengthen their daily organization and actively shape their lives in their own homes.
