Description
With the Personal Budget in Styria, private individuals with sensory and/or significant mobility impairments have access to a flexible funding instrument that enables a high degree of privacy and self-determination. As a one-time grant, it serves to finance personal assistance services and empowers participants to manage their daily lives independently and outside of residential facilities. This monetary benefit takes individual support needs into account, allowing a self-determined lifestyle in accordance with personal wishes to remain achievable.
Funding is provided to people who require help with some or all activities of daily living, possess the necessary decision-making capacity, and do not make use of residential care or mobile services of disability assistance. The budget exclusively covers costs for personal assistance, whereby the type and extent of help are determined by the applicants themselves. Applications can be submitted at any time, ensuring flexible and needs-based support. The responsible authority for processing is Department 11 "Social Affairs, Labor and Integration" at the Office of the Styrian Provincial Government.
