Department 11 "Social Affairs, Labor and Integration" within the Office of the Styrian Provincial Government is responsible at the state level for the implementation and further development of the social network in Styria. It is responsible, among other things, for the execution of the Styrian Social Assistance Act, disability law, child and youth welfare law, violence protection, basic services, the Senior Citizens Act, and housing support. The department manages funding programs in the social sector, oversees vocational integration measures, and administers training and care centers such as the Hartberg Vocational Training Center, the Heilpädagogisches Zentrum, and the Support Center for Hearing and Speech Education.

The services and funding programs of Department 11 are aimed at individuals and families in need of assistance across all age groups in Styria, particularly people with disabilities, children and adolescents in special life situations, seniors, as well as social organizations, educational institutions, and municipal agencies active in the social sector. The goal is to improve social participation, provide support in emergencies, and promote professional integration.
