Nursing Training Subsidy for Education in Nursing Professions (DGKP, PFA, PA)

The nursing training allowance in Vorarlberg supports trainees in nursing professions (certified health and nursing professionals, nursing assistants, and nursing aides) with monthly financial contributions. The aim of this initiative is to increase the attractiveness of vocational training in the nursing sector and to secure the future supply of skilled workers in the region in the long term. The funds originate from earmarked federal subsidies and are granted until December 31, 2028, enabling reliable planning for training providers and learners. Eligible participants are private individuals who can prove recognized training in one of the aforementioned nursing professions in Vorarlberg.

For trainees, the ongoing payments provide noticeable relief during the training period and support concentration on practical and theoretical education. The guidelines are based on the Nursing Training Purpose Subsidy Act in conjunction with the Nursing Fund Act as well as the corresponding state regulation for 2025–2028. Applications for funding are possible until December 31, 2028; a prerequisite for a grant is proof of training eligibility in Vorarlberg. Through this support, the program contributes to strengthening the healthcare system and acknowledges the commitment of future professionals in a socially important field.
