Description
The funding initiative Prevention and Health Promotion is aimed at public institutions, interest groups, and associations in Upper Austria and seeks to effectively support measures and projects in the fields of health as well as work & social affairs. Within the framework of a grant program, activities are funded that correspond to the guidelines and health objectives of the state of Upper Austria. Since January 1, 2013, it has been possible to submit funding applications continuously. This funding strengthens preventive offerings and increases health literacy on site by bringing together municipal structures, associations, and interest groups in the sense of sustainable networking.
A prerequisite for a grant is a written project description with a detailed financing plan as well as a subsequent proof of use. The disbursement of funds takes place according to the progress of implementation in the respective budget year. Through continuous application submission, municipalities and associations can respond flexibly to local needs and establish preventive initiatives in the long term. Thus, the program makes a reliable contribution to health promotion and supports the realization of tailored concepts throughout Upper Austria.
