Description

The award of the German Construction Court Day Association (Deutscher Baugerichtstag e.V.) is announced every two years by the German Construction Court Day in cooperation with the Leinemann Foundation for Education and Art and honors outstanding scientific achievements in construction and procurement law. In two categories – legal scholarly as well as construction operational/real estate economic publications – each is endowed with €5,000. The aim is to bring publications from habilitations, dissertations, or comparable research works published within the last 24 months into focus for both science and practice. The award recognizes innovative contributions to the modern and forward-looking regulation of construction, procurement, and construction process law, as well as the development of effective conflict resolution strategies.

Eligible to participate are students, graduates, and researchers nominated by their university – self-submissions are excluded. A formal and timely submission by October 30 of the year preceding the award ceremony (postmark decisive) is required. Four copies of the original work, an electronic PDF version, a summary (max. 5 pages), a tabular curriculum vitae, a declaration of authorship, and a justified proposal by a university or honorary professor must be submitted. The submitted contributions are evaluated based on their scientific quality, degree of innovation, practical relevance, and compliance with the statutory requirements. The award ceremony takes place within the framework of the German Construction Court Day and offers outstanding publications a supraregional presentation platform as well as sustainable visibility in research and practice.
