Description

The PRIO1 Climate Award from the Climate Foundation for Citizens honors young committed individuals aged 16 to 30 who actively contribute to climate protection with innovative ideas and projects. Nationwide, private individuals can submit their initiatives from spring onwards via the online form. The projects are evaluated based on their level of innovation, climate protection impact, and feasibility. Applications require a detailed project description as well as a brief letter of motivation. A total of €4,500 in prize money is available, awarded in three categories: 1st place with €2,000, 2nd place with €1,500, and 3rd place with €1,000.

With the PRIO1 Climate Award, the initiative aims to highlight creative engagement in energy efficiency, sustainable education, and social cohesion. Children and youth, vocational and further education, work, and social affairs all benefit equally when innovative approaches are recognized and disseminated. The submission deadline is announced annually in spring on the PRIO1 website. Through the nationwide call, participants have the opportunity to present their own climate protection ideas to a broad audience and receive valuable financial support for the realization of their projects.
