The program "Crisis Management and Restart (KUNST)" targets small and medium-sized enterprises, craft businesses, trade and service companies, as well as members of liberal professions with a place of business in the Free State of Saxony. It provides low-interest loans to cover up to 80% of the eligible financial requirements following a successful insolvency plan procedure. The funds can be used for new and replacement investments in fixed and current assets as well as for project- and order-related ongoing operational expenses. The loan amount ranges between €25,000 and €1,000,000, with a maximum term of 48 months and the possibility of a repayment-free first year. Since applications can be submitted continuously, the program offers timely and flexible support for rebuilding economic performance.
Participating companies must submit a confirmed insolvency plan pursuant to § 248 InsO as well as the resolution on the termination of the insolvency proceedings according to § 258 InsO and must not be considered "enterprises in difficulty" under EU guidelines. Among other documents, the application requires submission of the "Kunst_RuB_Application (Form 60470)", self-disclosures, SEPA direct debit mandates, SME evaluations, and evidence to identify the beneficial owners. The Saxon Development Bank – Förderbank – (SAB) reviews applications and supports the approval of funds.
