Description
The program of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia supports companies, private individuals, as well as municipal and non-profit organizations in the introduction of climate-friendly energy technologies and the increase of energy efficiency in buildings and neighborhoods. It covers the thematic areas of Smart Cities & Regions, Infrastructure and Urban Development, Housing Construction & Modernization, as well as Digitalization, and promotes measures for the use of renewable energies and rational energy consumption. The funding modules range from photovoltaics and geothermal energy to climate-appropriate energy systems and neighborhood solutions. Additionally, model projects for sustainable construction, technical-economic concepts for low greenhouse gas process heat, and initial consultations for the climate-neutral transformation of small businesses are supported. Thus, the program makes a significant contribution to the climate protection goals and the energy transition in the state.
