Project Proposal 1st Half of 2027

Project Application 1st Half of 2027 – Bildungswerk Berlin of the Heinrich Böll Foundation e.V. supports freelance staff and working groups of the Bildungswerk in Berlin in conducting political educational events. The aim is to promote democratic youth and adult education through a diverse range of evening, day, weekend, and week-long seminars, specialist conferences, as well as international encounters in Berlin. Grants are provided for fees, travel and accommodation costs, catering, childcare, as well as advertising, postage, and copying expenses. A prerequisite is the use of the provided PDF form and formal affiliation as a staff member or member of a working group of the Bildungswerk Berlin. Selection is made following formal review by the board of the Bildungswerk.

Applications for projects starting from January 1, 2027, can be submitted until September 15, 2026. Eligible for funding are exclusively private individuals working freelance in the field of political education. All events must take place in Berlin, with the Bildungswerk clearly named as the organizer on all publications. Approval will be granted in October 2026; applicants will be notified promptly. The provided funds cover fees according to the Berlin fee schedule as well as costs for childcare and target-group appropriate public relations – always in compliance with the funding criteria and allowable expenses. The program strengthens sustainable political education and contributes to networking democratic actors in the capital.
