Description

The funding program of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia supports a wide variety of cultural, artistic, and educational initiatives in the region. It targets educational institutions, municipalities, companies, private individuals, interest groups, and other associations that implement innovative projects in the fields of media, sports, culture, and cultural education. The goal is to strengthen the cultural infrastructure, promote artistic forms of expression, preserve cultural heritage, and create experimental spaces for the independent scene as well as the cultural and creative industries. The new guidelines simplify bureaucratic processes and reduce approval-related examination efforts to enable flexible and impact-oriented action.

Grants cover up to 80% of eligible expenses for funding volumes up to €50,000 and up to 60% for project expenses between €50,000 and €250,000. Eligible applicants include municipalities, municipal associations, legal entities under public and private law, associations of persons, and individuals active in the relevant fields of action. A comprehensible cost and financing plan as well as proof of legally required insurance against personal, property, and financial damages are prerequisites. Continuous application submission is possible at any time to the respective competent district government, ensuring ongoing funding opportunities and individual consultation.
