Description

Project Funding by the AWO Rheinland Foundation
The AWO Rheinland Foundation supports non-profit organizations, public institutions, interest groups, and associations in North Rhine-Westphalia that are engaged in the fields of social affairs, children and youth, education, health, work & social issues, as well as commitment to social cohesion and democracy. The focus is particularly on projects providing assistance to children and families, combating poverty, and promoting local participation in the Rhineland. Funding is provided as a grant and is aimed at sponsors whose projects have sustainable impact and make a tangible contribution to social justice. The foundation board decides on submitted applications once a year, usually by March 31 of each year.

Funding Requirements & Application Documents
A basic requirement is secured follow-up financing, for which own contributions or third-party funds usually need to be provided. Before the project starts, a detailed funding application including a financing plan must be submitted, containing the project description, cost and financing plans, as well as information on third-party funding applications. Upon completion of the measure, a final project accounting with copies of receipts must be submitted. The foundation is available for consultation regarding application questions; information on current deviations from the deadline can be found under “News” on the website. Application documents must include a completed funding application, a meaningful project description, and a financing plan to optimize the chances of success for funding in the social work field.
