Project Funding by the Citizens' Foundation Bremerhaven

The project funding of the Bürgerstiftung Bremerhaven is aimed at all non-profit initiatives, associations, educational institutions, companies, and private individuals who wish to implement innovative ideas for children and youth, culture, social affairs, education, or integration in Bremerhaven. The goal of the funding is to strengthen voluntary engagement and deepen social cohesion. As a grant provider, the foundation provides financial resources to realize projects with sustainable added value and to promote democratic engagement locally. Interested project sponsors can submit their application at any time via the Bürgerstiftung’s online form and attach the completed PDF project application as well as explanatory documents or photos. A prerequisite is the non-profit orientation of the project as well as the project location in Bremerhaven. Selection is based on social relevance, exemplary character, and benefit to the general public. Thanks to the flexible submission deadline, there is no pressure from fixed deadlines, so spontaneous project ideas are considered just as much as planned programs. The Bürgerstiftung Bremerhaven provides advisory support throughout the funding process and helps ensure that local actors contribute effectively to the positive development of their city.
