Description

The Citizens' Foundation of the Starnberg District supports non-profit associations, institutions, and initiatives based in the Starnberg District in the implementation of forward-looking projects. Financial resources are granted twice a year in the form of subsidies to realize projects in the areas of education, integration, social affairs, senior citizen work, as well as for children and youth, culture, and sports. The broadly defined purpose of the foundation allows for a wide range of ideas and particularly promotes measures that strengthen social cohesion and create a tangible added value for the Bavaria region. However, projects outside the district, personnel costs, ongoing operating expenses, fundraising activities, political groups, and commercial events are excluded.

For a successful application, a valid tax exemption certificate from the tax office, the organization's statutes, and for project totals of €3,000 or more, a detailed budget plan are required. Project-related material and equipment costs as well as event costs are eligible for funding; in-kind contributions and third-party funds should be transparently disclosed. Deadlines are announced in a timely manner via press releases and on the Citizens' Foundation's website. After receipt of the complete documents, the foundation board, together with the advisory board, decides on the allocation of funds. Interested organizations will find clear guidelines for application and exclusion criteria in the funding guidelines and statutes. This funding program offers a reliable source of financing to sustainably strengthen and further develop public-benefit projects in the Starnberg District.
