Description
The project funding of the Doris Wuppermann Foundation – Young People for Social Democracy is aimed at non-profit organizations and public institutions throughout Germany that seek to empower young people for political action and social engagement. With a funding scope of up to €5,000, the foundation primarily supports initiatives in the areas of strengthening political participation and empowerment of children and youth, anti-racism and anti-discrimination work, democratically designed climate protection, as well as the preservation of memory culture. Funding applications can be submitted continuously, with complete documentation required by June 30, 2026. Approved projects will start no earlier than August 15, 2026, with the next board decision scheduled for mid-July 2026.
For an application, a legally capable and non-profit organizational structure is required, pursuing at least one statutory purpose in accordance with § 52 AO No. 7 or 24. Required documents include the completed application form as well as proof of statutes or partnership agreement, current association/foundation/commercial register excerpt, tax exemption certificate from the tax office, and information on the postal address and organizational bank account details. The foundation decides on the allocation of its funds on a grant basis and informs applicants in writing. Following the project, a usage report and a brief summary must be submitted. Through project-based funding, the Doris Wuppermann Foundation contributes to strengthening young people in their role as active shapers of a social democracy.
