Description
The Evangelical Future Foundation Frankfurt and Offenbach supports innovatively designed projects of non-profit church institutions within the Evangelization area of Frankfurt and Offenbach. Projects in the fields of education, social affairs, culture and media, as well as training and further education, which strengthen social cohesion and democratic engagement, are funded. The focus is particularly on community educational initiatives, measures to increase the church’s presence in the public sphere, intercultural and interreligious dialogue formats, as well as urban church work. Funding recipients can be church congregations, deaneries, and other institutions of the Evangelical Church, provided they are recognized as non-profit and organized according to their statutes. A locally anchored reference as well as an interdisciplinary approach increase the likelihood of success in line with the foundation’s purpose.
Funding is provided in the form of grants covering up to 50% of eligible expenses – including personnel costs, material and tangible contributions, as well as non-material services. The maximum project duration is 24 months; a co-financing share of at least 50% may be required on a case-by-case basis. To apply, a project description, a detailed schedule and action plan, a financing plan, as well as proof of non-profit status and organizational structure are required. The decision is based on criteria such as cost-effectiveness, appropriateness, and likelihood of success. Applications can be submitted at any time; the relevant forms and award regulations are available for download online. Final reports with outcome communication and, if applicable, interim reports are prerequisites for approval and future follow-up applications.
