Project Funding of the Women's Sites Edith Lücke Foundation

The project funding of the Edith-Lücke-Stiftung Women’s Places in Bremen is aimed at non-profit organizations, especially shelters and counseling centers, that provide direct support to women and girls threatened or affected by violence. As a grant provider, the foundation specifically supports innovative initiatives that go beyond the regular work of the institutions. Projects are funded in the fields of social issues, women’s empowerment, as well as work & social affairs, which contribute to opening up new perspectives and safe spaces for women and girls affected by violence. Permanent financing of ongoing operations is not part of the service scope, so the funds are exclusively provided for additional projects. Funding is granted upon application and is not subject to a fixed submission deadline – applications can be submitted continuously.

Interested non-profit institutions compile a fully completed funding application along with a financing plan, a donation receipt, and a brief report on the project. Subsequently, the foundation’s board reviews the documents at the next meeting. Feedback is provided promptly so that approved projects can be implemented without delay. With this open and unbureaucratic awarding practice, the Edith-Lücke-Stiftung contributes to sustainably supporting pioneering initiatives for violence protection and the empowerment of women and girls in Bremen.
