Description
Project funding by the Georges Anawati Foundation (Interreligious Dialogue between Christians and Muslims) is aimed at non-profit organizations and educational institutions throughout Germany that are committed to social cohesion, democracy, as well as initial and continuing education. The foundation provides grants to sponsors who plan and implement creative and innovative projects to promote interreligious and intercultural dialogue between Christians and Muslims. Ongoing submission opportunities allow for flexible project development – applications can be submitted at any time, provided that the location or implementation takes place in Germany and the focus clearly serves the exchange and peaceful encounter of both religious communities.
The aim of the funding is to deepen mutual understanding through respectful exchange and thereby make a sustainable contribution to peace between different cultures and religions. Projects from the fields of education, work & social affairs, as well as initial and continuing education, which offer innovative formats such as workshops, conferences, artistic actions, or interactive encounter formats, are supported. The project funding supports initiatives that build bridges, reduce prejudices, and create shared spaces for action. In doing so, the Georges Anawati Foundation strengthens social cohesion and democratic culture in Germany in the long term by creating an environment in which Christians and Muslims meet on equal footing and jointly develop new perspectives.
