Project Funding of the Germering Social Foundation

Since 2001, the project funding of the Germering Social Foundation has continuously supported social initiatives in Germering, with a particular focus on children and youth, the elderly, and social cohesion. Financial grants are provided for exemplary measures in the areas of youth welfare, elderly care, and community building to strengthen local togetherness and improve individual development opportunities. Non-profit associations and interest groups are invited to submit creative projects that offer sustainable added value to the community. The foundation places great importance on responsible allocation of funds and relies on local expertise to ensure that each support is targeted and effective.

Eligible for funding are associations, initiatives, and non-profit organizations based in Bavaria whose projects are implemented in Germering. Applications can be submitted year-round using a standardized application form, which is regularly updated and made available. In addition, a detailed project description, a transparent budget plan, as well as contact information and bank details must be submitted. The most important criterion is the locally anchored and non-profit orientation of the activities. After reviewing the submitted documents, a board of trustees decides on the allocation of grants. The continuous funding opportunity without fixed deadlines offers flexibility and planning security for project managers – from small neighborhood initiatives to coordinated large-scale measures. In this way, the Germering Social Foundation contributes to sustainably strengthening the social fabric of the city and reinforcing the sense of community.
