Description

The Gisela and Erwin Sick Foundation offers continuous project funding to non-profit organizations and educational institutions from Baden-Württemberg and throughout Germany in the areas of children and youth, education, vocational training and further education, as well as research and science with a focus on natural sciences. The objective is to enable young people to access high-quality education through innovative, practical projects and to inspire their enthusiasm for research and STEM topics. Eligible for funding are primarily projects by legal entities with proven non-profit status – such as kindergartens, schools, training centers, or universities – aimed at children, adolescents, trainees, or students. Activities outside the foundation’s purpose, politically or religiously motivated projects, party-affiliated institutions, as well as purely celebratory or conference events are not supported.

Funding applications can be submitted digitally at any time and are granted as earmarked subsidies. The submission must include a meaningful project description, a detailed cost estimate, a financing plan, as well as proof of non-profit status, statutes, registration excerpt, and authorization to represent. After a professional review by the foundation board, approval is granted based on available funds. Finally, a proof of use with a brief final report must be submitted. Through this transparent procedure, the foundation supports pioneering projects nationwide that empower young people to become active and creative shapers of their own educational careers.
