Project Funding by the Günther Weber Foundation

Since its establishment in 2007, the project funding of the Günther-Weber-Stiftung has supported initiatives and projects nationwide in diverse fields such as child and youth welfare, upbringing & education, protection of marriage & family, sports, as well as Icelandic horse breeding and sports. Funding is provided to non-profit organizations, public institutions, private individuals, interest groups, and associations that strengthen social participation, educational opportunities, and community development through innovative concepts and sustainable approaches. A personal contribution of 15% of the total costs is mandatory, so the foundation generally covers up to 85% of the project-related expenses. There is no legal entitlement to funding; however, applications can be submitted at any time. Submission requires a completed application form, a detailed project description, and a comprehensive cost and financing plan.

The funding initiative aims to consolidate commitment and expertise in the mentioned areas and to achieve long-term impact. Interested applicants have the opportunity to have their concepts reviewed for feasibility and sustainability and, if successful, to receive financial support. The continuously open application deadline allows for flexible planning, while the involvement of local partners and networks increases the projects’ potential. This grant provides organizations and individuals with a reliable foundation to realize creative ideas in the fields of social affairs, education, and sports for the benefit of children, youth, and families throughout Germany.
