Project Funding of the Heinz & Ilse Bühnen Foundation

The project funding of the Heinz & Ilse Bühnen Foundation is aimed at non-profit, registered institutions in Bremen that wish to actively introduce children and young people to visual and creative arts. The focus is on initiatives in the fields of painting and sculpture that provide young people with a practical approach to artistic creation. Submissions are possible on January 15, April 15, July 15, and October 15 each year. Funded are detailed concepts that include time and location specifications, a description of artistic participation, as well as a transparent cost and financing plan (including planned income, own funds, and the requested funding amount). The board of trustees is expected to decide on the applications in the middle of the following months.

Funded projects benefit from a one-time grant that specifically supports the cultural education of children and young people and strengthens the commitment of the initiators. A prerequisite is implementation in Bremen as well as timely application submission by a non-profit organization. In combination with the expertise of experienced artists, the funding enables a wide range of artistic formats – from workshops in public spaces to project-oriented studio offerings. The Heinz & Ilse Bühnen Foundation thus sustainably promotes the creative potential of young people in Bremen and makes an important contribution to cultural participation in urban and social contexts.
