Description

The project funding of the Irmlinde Hikel Foundation is aimed at non-profit organizations in Baden-Württemberg that support women and children in need. As a consumption foundation, founded on July 6, 2018, it annually allocates up to 10% of its assets in the form of grants. The funds serve the sustainable support of counseling, intervention work, and protective services against domestic and sexualized violence. Through continuous application opportunities, funding can be used flexibly and according to needs. The board of trustees, composed of experts from various disciplines, ensures a qualified evaluation of the submitted project proposals.

Projects that specifically target women and children affected by violence or crises are supported. A prerequisite is a project application submitted via the association "Frauen und Kinder in Not e.V." (Women and Children in Need), which serves as the funding channel. Eligible measures include, among others, therapeutic counseling, prevention programs, accommodation offers in women's shelters, as well as initiatives for professional and social integration. The funding rate is based on the annually available disbursement funds, which can be increased through additional endowments. Through its clear focus on social issues, the promotion of women, and child and youth welfare, the Irmlinde Hikel Foundation makes a decisive contribution to strengthening existing structures and setting new impulses in the area of protection and care.
