Description

The Youth Foundation just supports Catholic organizations within the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg in the implementation of innovative projects in church youth work. Funding is provided for initiatives that have a religious, social, political, or cultural orientation and strengthen the commitment of volunteers. In particular, young people up to 27 years of age are to be supported in their personal development, value orientation, and search for meaning. Projects at the parish or regional level that are unique within their catchment area and address current life issues of young people in a new and forward-looking way have especially good chances. Smaller projects can be submitted throughout the year with a grant of up to €1,500; higher funding amounts are decided in the foundation board meetings in spring (March/April) and autumn (October).

A prerequisite for funding is a precise project application initiated or substantially accompanied by a Catholic organization or a non-profit organization from the region. Evaluation criteria include, among others, the contribution to youth-specific topics, the voluntary engagement of young people, as well as the promotion of social skills and responsibility. To apply, the completed project form and project application must be submitted on time – six weeks before the respective foundation board meetings for applications exceeding €1,500. All necessary documents and detailed funding criteria are available for download. The Youth Foundation just provides professional and financial support to interested organizations throughout the entire process and, upon positive decision, supplies a roll-up or banner for public relations purposes.
