Funding objective

The goal of the Miteinander Foundation is to support people who have fallen into distress. Projects and initiatives in Nuremberg and the surrounding area are funded, which implement one or more of the foundation's funding priorities, in particular the integration of disadvantaged individuals into professional and social life, the integration of foreign fellow citizens, interreligious cooperation, as well as the support of mentally ill and behaviorally disturbed children and adolescents.

Description

The Miteinander Foundation Nuremberg supports non-profit organizations, public institutions, interest groups, associations, as well as private individuals with project proposals in Nuremberg and the surrounding area that assist people in emergency situations. Projects are funded in the areas of social affairs, migration, commitment to social cohesion and democracy, children and youth, as well as work & social issues. In particular, projects aimed at integrating disadvantaged people into professional and social life, involving foreign citizens, promoting interreligious cooperation, and supporting mentally ill and behaviorally challenged children and adolescents are funded. The maximum funding amount is €3,000, with decisions made by the foundation’s board in semi-annual meetings. Applications must be submitted by March 1, 2026, at the latest for the next meeting.

A prerequisite for funding is the implementation of the measure in Nuremberg and the surrounding area as well as the fulfillment of at least one funding priority. Funding applications must be submitted with the fully completed application form and a copy of the most recent exemption certificate. Evaluation criteria include alignment with the funding priorities, the realized location, and the responsible project organization. The Miteinander Foundation focuses on sustainable, responsible measures and promotes a diverse social dialogue – from intercultural encounter projects to social therapeutic services for children and youth. Through the semi-annual allocation, the local civil society is to be continuously strengthened and disadvantaged target groups effectively included.
