Project Funding of the Hemelingen District Foundation

The ongoing project funding is aimed at non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, as well as public and educational institutions in the Bremen districts of Arbergen, Hastedt, Hemelingen, Mahndorf, and Sebaldsbrück. Initiatives in the fields of education, culture, and social affairs that strengthen community cohesion and unlock hidden local potential are supported. Projects for children and youth, seniors, and civil society are the focus and are intended to contribute to intergenerational exchange through creative, interactive offerings. As a grant, the foundation supports specialist events, workshops, media and cultural projects, as well as social initiatives with the goal of establishing sustainable structures in the neighborhood and promoting the common good.

Only non-profit organizations that submit a fully completed funding application and provide proof of use upon completion of the measure are eligible for funding. Evaluation is based on alignment with the foundation’s objectives, added value for the neighborhood, degree of innovation, as well as cost transparency and economic efficiency. Applications can be submitted at any time, as continuous funding opportunities exist. Interested initiatives are encouraged to submit their project ideas to revitalize the neighborhood and thus make an active contribution to strengthening social cohesion and cultural diversity in the district.
