Project Funding by the Foundation for the Monumental Heritage of the Federal School Bernau

The Baudenkmal Bundesschule Bernau Foundation supports projects nationwide that serve the research and presentation of the UNESCO World Heritage Bundesschule Bernau. Applicants from non-profit organizations, foundations, educational institutions, public bodies, companies, or private individuals are invited to submit proposals in the fields of architecture and monument preservation, research & innovation, science, culture, education, as well as infrastructure & urban development. Funding is provided in the form of grants; applications can be submitted at any time via the official form and must be submitted after legally binding signature. Prerequisites include an appropriate amount of own funds as well as compliance with the funding criteria according to the foundation’s statutes. Evaluation focuses particularly on alignment with the foundation’s purpose, the scientific and cultural added value, and the sustainability of the project.

For the application, the complete funding request, the funding guidelines, the foundation’s statutes, and a subsequent proof of use must be submitted. Selection is made by the foundation’s board, which may attach conditions or requirements to the approval if necessary. After a positive decision, the foundation informs in writing about the type, scope, and amount of support. Funded projects range from exhibitions and publications to digital archiving – always with the goal of making the Bauhaus architecture and pedagogical innovation of the Bundesschule Bernau accessible to a broad public in education, culture, and science.
