The purpose of the foundation is nature and landscape conservation, the preservation of the cultural landscape, village ecology, the care and development of natural habitats for plants, animals, and humans in the native landscape, as well as local history, cultural and heritage preservation, and the promotion of youth and junior work in the music and cultural associations of the Steinheim Basin.

Description
Since its inception, the project funding of the Foundation for Nature, Homeland, and Culture in the Steinheim Basin has supported non-profit initiatives and civic engagement in North Rhine-Westphalia. Projects in nature and landscape conservation, the maintenance of historic cultural landscapes, and village ecology are funded. Additionally, cultural institutions and events focusing on local history and preservation, as well as youth work in music and cultural associations, are prioritized. The goal is to preserve natural habitats for plants, animals, and people, strengthen regional identity, and promote social cohesion through innovative projects in the Steinheim Basin.
Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, interest groups, other associations, public institutions, and private individuals based or active in the Steinheim Basin.
