Description
The project funding of the “Großes Waisenhaus zu Potsdam” Foundation is aimed at non-profit organizations, public institutions, and educational establishments in Brandenburg that support disadvantaged children and youth. Grants for projects promoting social participation, education, health, physical activity, and inclusion are awarded throughout the year. Applications can be submitted online at any time, and proposals for the year 2026 are already possible. Due to limited funds, submissions for 2025 are currently no longer accepted. Interested applicants are encouraged to seek funding consultation at least three months before the project start and to outline their project idea with corresponding objectives, target group descriptions, and a structured timeline. The goal is to sustainably empower children and youth and support their active contribution to social cohesion.
The following documents must be submitted for a complete application: online application form, statutes or bylaws, current tax exemption certificate, extract from the register of associations, as well as a cost and financing plan if there are more than ten cost items (template available). Project activities may only commence after written confirmation of funding approval. Upon project completion, proof of use and narrative reports must be submitted in accordance with the funding guidelines to demonstrate the proper use of funds. The Foundation places great importance on transparent reporting and appreciates acknowledgment of the funder in all publications. Further details on funding guidelines, instructions for completing the web form, and all relevant templates are available for download.
