Description
The Heilig Kreuz Foundation in North Rhine-Westphalia continuously supports ecclesiastical and social initiatives of the Detmold parish that cannot be financed from the regular parish budget. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, public institutions, as well as private individuals, provided the project pursues one of the four foundation objectives: promotion of children and youth, assistance in emergencies, church musical activities, and the preservation and further development of church locations and buildings. An informal application can be submitted by email at any time and will be reviewed in the regular meetings of the volunteer foundation board. The basis for approval is a convincing alignment with the foundation’s objectives and a clearly structured financial plan.
Among others, funding is provided for leisure projects promoting equal opportunities for children and youth, uncomplicated immediate aid for people in emergency situations, church musical initiatives within the framework of the “Friends of Church Music” circle, as well as measures for the protection of the historic monument and site of the Heilig Kreuz Church and other church locations. Applicants submit a project description and a statement of financial requirements to demonstrate the persuasiveness of their proposal. The foundation operates as a legally recognized public law foundation and uses all funds 100% for the fulfillment of its statutory purposes. Interested project sponsors are invited to present their ideas and thereby contribute to shaping a vibrant parish life.
