Description

The project funding of the Kunst und Kultur Foundation of the Landessparkasse zu Oldenburg is aimed at non-profit institutions and associations within the LzO’s business area that wish to realize demanding projects in the fields of music, literature, performing and visual arts, local heritage and monument preservation, as well as scientific research. With annually available grant funds, one-time individual projects are to be supported whose concepts convince through high artistic quality and regional significance. Applications must be submitted in writing using the official funding application form and additionally include a detailed project description, a financing plan, and the current tax exemption certificate. The foundation’s board of directors usually decides once a year in spring on the overall applications; documents must be submitted at least eight weeks before the start of the meeting.

Project-related expenses such as material and restoration costs, exhibition and event expenses are eligible for funding. Ongoing personnel and administrative costs, printing subsidies for chronicles, or general club work, however, are not within the scope of funding. Prerequisites for a positive decision, in addition to non-profit status and location within the LzO business area, include a proven financing plan including own funds as well as complete and properly submitted documents. Evaluation is based on criteria such as regional significance, artistic quality, and overall financial security. The foundation expects transparent budget management and reserves the right to request proof of fund usage or to reclaim funds if the project specifications are not met.
