Eligible applicants include natural and legal persons, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, start-ups, interest groups, and other associations with their registered office or residence in the state. The foundation grants project-related subsidies for start-up and individual project funding, placing special emphasis on local initiatives and committed individual actors. Continuous application submission is possible throughout the year; project descriptions, cost, and financing plans are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Funding is provided without long-term commitments to allow space for a wide variety of different projects.
The following requirements must be met for a successful application: residence or registered office in Baden-Württemberg, detailed project description, complete cost and financing plan, proof of own funds and all other funding commitments. Ongoing projects, purpose expansions, or commercial institutions are not funded. Ineligible expenses include, for example, land and building acquisition, travel, catering and accommodation costs, instrument purchases, ongoing personnel, administrative and building maintenance costs, as well as scholarships. Applications require a completed funding application form, statutes/extract from the register of associations, if applicable proof of non-profit status, and the aforementioned documents. After project completion, a usage report including a project report must be submitted. The LBBW Foundation sets impulses for a diverse, committed civil society and strengthens regional future initiatives with sustainable impact.
