Description

The project funding of the Stiftung Morgenland is aimed at non-profit organizations, foundations, associations, interest groups, and public institutions based in Germany that implement church-related initiatives for the education and training of girls and women in Berlin, Brandenburg, and the Middle East. Funding is provided for personnel expenses, material and travel costs with a grant amount ranging from €3,000 to €5,000 per project. The foundation places special emphasis on projects that correspond to its statutory purposes and make a sustainable contribution to the empowerment of girls and women. Applications can be submitted twice a year: by February 15 for project starts from June 1 of the current year, and by September 15 for project starts from January 1 of the following year.

For approval, in addition to the fully completed application form, a precise project description including objectives and content is required, as well as a detailed financing plan, the tax exemption certificate, and the statutes of the applying organization. There is no legal entitlement to funding; the decision is made by the foundation’s board. Individuals and investments in land or buildings are excluded. Upon acceptance of the funding, timely accounting through receipt confirmation, fund request, and proof of use (including photo and receipt list) is mandatory.
