Description

The project funding of the NETZWERK NÄCHSTENLIEBE Foundation is aimed at legally capable, non-profit organizations, public institutions, as well as individuals active in the social-diaconal sector in Braunschweig and the surrounding district. Unbureaucratic grants support initiatives in the fields of social affairs, child and youth welfare, adult and elderly care. Funding is provided for personnel costs, material costs, low-value assets, and—in exceptional cases—investments; travel expenses are excluded. A prerequisite for approval is that the project aligns with the foundation’s purpose, is planned economically and efficiently, and achieves sustainable impact. The duration is usually twelve months, up to three years for multi-year projects, with funding commencing only after application submission.

Interested applicants can find all funding guidelines and templates online: Project Funding Application (DOCX), Guidelines (PDF), and Project Final Report (DOCX). Submissions are made via email; the signed original application must be submitted subsequently. As the foundation processes inquiries continuously, there are no fixed deadlines. Applications should include a clear definition of objectives, a financing plan indicating own funds and, if applicable, co-financing, as well as a description of the intended expenses. The board decides on the amount of the grant based on available funds; there is no legal entitlement. This funding provides initiatives with immediate assistance opportunities and long-term prospects for the benefit of the city.
