Project Funding by the Tausendgut Foundation (Enabling Participation)

The Tausendgut Foundation supports non-profit associations, companies, and interest groups in Rhineland-Palatinate in the implementation of regional projects that promote social participation. The focus is on initiatives for people with disabilities, children and youth, as well as seniors in the Mainz area. Funding applications can be submitted once a year by June 30th via post or email. The foundation provides financial grants for personnel costs, material and other operating expenses, as well as construction and renovation costs. A prerequisite is that the project corresponds to the foundation's purpose of "enabling participation" and is located in Mainz or its immediate surroundings. The application must include a project description, cost plan, and, if applicable, a cost calculation according to DIN 276, supplemented by supporting documents such as an extract from the register of associations or land register. A signed, fully completed form forms the basis for funding review.

The aim of the project funding is to remove barriers and enable people of all ages to participate equally in social life. Whether inclusive leisure activities, educational initiatives for children with disabilities, or age-appropriate meeting places for seniors – the foundation sets impulses for demand-oriented local offerings. The funding creates sustainable structures that contribute to strengthening the community in the long term. The jury of the Tausendgut Foundation carefully reviews all submissions and decides promptly on the allocation of grants to realize diverse participation projects in the Mainz region.
