Project Funding by the University Medicine Aachen Foundation

The project funding of the University Medicine Aachen Foundation is aimed at public institutions and non-profit organizations in North Rhine-Westphalia that wish to implement initiatives anchored at the RWTH Aachen University Hospital. In three thematic focus areas – the transfer of the latest research findings into patient care (“Medicine 4.0”), innovative teaching and the awarding of scholarships, as well as the optimization of care processes and patient-centered services – the foundation supports specific projects through financial grants. The continuous submission option enables researchers, educators, and clinical project managers to submit applications for innovative concepts at any time. A prerequisite is that the project is located at the RWTH Aachen University Hospital and is aligned with one of the three core funding areas.

With this funding, the foundation aims to strengthen the bridge between scientific knowledge and practical application in everyday clinical practice, establish forward-looking teaching models, and improve patient-centered services. Interested project leaders benefit from flexible deadlines, as applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and from close support by experts from University Medicine. The funding contributes to strengthening regional research and training structures and provides impetus for the further development of healthcare.
