Description

The foundation "Our Heart Beats Here – Foundation for the Citizens in the Herford District" enables non-profit organizations based in the Herford district to receive financial support for innovative projects in the areas of migration, education, family, and demographics. Funding is provided for personnel costs, material costs, investments, rent, service contracts, insurance, catering, transport and travel expenses, public relations, as well as project-related consumables and administrative costs (max. 10% of total costs). Interest and repayment expenses are not eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted quarterly by non-profit organizations, public institutions, or private individuals by February 15, May 15, August 15, and November 15 each year. A prerequisite for funding, in addition to the applicant’s non-profit status, is a valid tax exemption certificate for corporate tax purposes and a detailed cost and financing plan.

The following documents are required for the application: the current funding guidelines, the fully completed application form, a detailed project description (max. 4 pages), the cost and financing plan, and the corporate tax exemption certificate. After receipt of all documents, the board will promptly decide on the approval of a grant. The earmarked disbursement is made upon proof, with applicants obliged to retain receipts for at least five years. The foundation is committed to strengthening sustainable initiatives in the Herford district and thereby promoting long-term quality of life and equal opportunities in the region.
