Description

The project funding of the VFG Foundation is aimed at non-profit organizations, public institutions, and educational establishments in North Rhine-Westphalia that are engaged in the fields of social affairs, children and youth, education, research & innovation, as well as vocational training. Since its founding in 2007, the foundation has pursued the goal of sustainably improving the living conditions of people on the margins of society. In particular, projects supporting homeless individuals, long-term unemployed persons, addicts, and children of parents with substance dependencies are awarded grants. The funding includes measures for social and individual support, youth welfare, and scientific research. Applications can be submitted continuously, allowing initiatives to receive financial support at any time and achieve sustainable impact.

Projects that effectively assist people with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities or low income and enable them to lead a self-determined life are supported. Innovative approaches such as Housing First, integrative daycare centers, and rehabilitative educational projects are emphasized. The VFG Foundation values pragmatic, goal-oriented concepts whose impact is monitored by professional and subject matter experts. The foundation’s capital is fully invested in socially used real estate to ensure infrastructural sustainability alongside financial support. Organizations with non-profit status may apply for project funding at any time and thus contribute to social participation and equal opportunities. Interested sponsors are encouraged to submit their project ideas early and thereby make a valuable contribution to strengthening the community in North Rhine-Westphalia.
