Project Funding of the Willibald Schmidt Foundation

The project funding of the Willibald Schmidt Foundation supports a variety of initiatives in the city of Beilngries and in the Altmühltal Nature Park that align with the foundation’s purpose. Projects from the fields of education, culture, monument preservation, environmental and nature conservation, science, research, vocational training and further education, as well as infrastructure and climate protection, are eligible for funding. Natural and legal persons, associations, interest groups, educational institutions, and companies are entitled to apply. The foundation’s commitment equally targets youth and elderly care projects as well as art and culture-related initiatives that make a sustainable contribution to the common good. The funding approach is provided as a one-time grant and ensures equal opportunities through continuous application possibilities without fixed deadlines.

For a successful application, a properly completed application form together with a detailed project description including a cost and financing plan is required. Projects eligible for funding must not have commenced at the time of application and must fully comply with the requirements outlined in the PDF form. The allocation is decided by the foundation board after reviewing all documents. There is no legal entitlement to funding; however, transparent documentation contributes to funding success. The foundation invites interested parties to continuously submit their innovative and common-good-oriented projects and thus actively contribute to strengthening the region.
