Description

The Carl Friedrich von Siemens Foundation supports selected research projects and scientific publications nationwide through partial grants. The aim of the funding measure is to promote initiatives that have a direct connection to the foundation’s program and make innovative contributions in the fields of research & innovation as well as science. Funding applications can be submitted at any time and are reviewed individually, ensuring that educational institutions, public bodies, and private individuals with relevant expertise are given equitable consideration. The continuously open call allows projects to be applied for flexibly at different stages of their development.

Eligible for funding are researchers and research institutions wishing to realize publications or research series – for example, critical editions, thematic studies, or cooperative seminars. Essential prerequisites for funding include a clear connection to the foundation’s program as well as a fully prepared individual funding application. Among the recently supported projects are outstanding examples such as the publication of a critical complete edition of the works of Ernst Troeltsch, the German Søren Kierkegaard Edition at the Max Weber Kolleg Erfurt, or mathematical seminars at the Oberwolfach Research Institute. Through the funding, scientific networks are strengthened, publication projects accelerated, and interdisciplinary collaborations intensified. Interested researchers thus receive valuable support to effectively advance their projects in the thematic areas of research & innovation as well as science.
