The project funding of the Stiftung Deutsche Landschaften supports nonprofit landscape conservation associations, biological stations, and local nature conservation initiatives across Germany in the preservation and development of historic cultural landscapes and their biodiversity. Grants promote measures that contribute to the permanent protection of orchard meadows, wetlands, hedgerow structures, and watercourses. The focus lies on environmental and nature conservation, environmental education, as well as energy efficiency and climate protection in rural areas. Since applications can be submitted continuously, initiatives can be implemented flexibly and according to needs, without being bound to fixed deadlines.
Eligible for funding are registered nonprofit associations, interest groups, and public institutions based in Germany that are active in landscape conservation. A prerequisite for a successful application is proof of nonprofit activity in cultural landscape management. The foundation aims to strategically strengthen regional initiatives and make a sustainable contribution to the care and restoration of landscape-typical biotopes.
