Description

The project funding of the Ulrich-Spörel Foundation is aimed at musically committed children and young people up to the age of 20 residing in Wiesbaden and the surrounding area (Hesse). With an annual grant of up to €2,000, tuition and course fees, rental or lease costs for instruments, as well as individual projects such as concerts, workshops, or competition participation can be subsidized. Up to 80% of the total estimated project costs are covered. In this way, the foundation supports musical education, talent development, and self-realization of young musicians from classical to rock-pop-jazz.

To apply for funding, a pedagogical expert report from the instructor, audio or video recordings, and proof of previous concerts or awards must be submitted. Minors must additionally provide a written consent form from their parents. The application, including the project description, detailed cost and financial plan, and all required documentation, must be submitted at least six months before the project start date. The decision is made by the foundation’s board on a regular basis; there is no legal entitlement to funding. Upon project completion, a final report must be submitted, and any publications or event announcements should acknowledge the support of the Ulrich-Spörel Foundation. Through this transparent process, the foundation promotes sustainable musical initiatives and strengthens the artistic youth in the region.
