Description
The OEKOGENO Foundation supports nationwide non-profit initiatives through earmarked grants to directly promote inclusive housing concepts as well as ecological agriculture and forestry. The focus is on multigenerational housing projects – currently in Waldshut-Tiengen, Nürtingen, and Furtwangen – as well as the acquisition of land to realize sustainable agricultural and forestry models. This funding line addresses project initiators, associations, companies, foundations, and public institutions alike. The foundation does not draw on returns from its still-developing asset base but channels incoming funds directly into the implementation of selected projects. With continuously open application submissions, there is always the opportunity to communicate financing needs and receive a tailored evaluation of the initiatives.
Particularly supported are inclusion-oriented construction projects that enable barrier-free, communal living arrangements, as well as land acquisitions for ecological management and rewetting of peatlands. The funds are earmarked and flow directly into supporting the common good-oriented sectors of the OEKOGENO group. Eligible applicants include individuals, interest groups, companies, and public institutions. The foundation offers tax benefits and supports initiators with professional advice during the application process. An informal project outline is sufficient to enter the funding initiative into the ongoing decision-making process. In doing so, the OEKOGENO Foundation makes a visible contribution to social participation, sustainable land use, and climate-friendly infrastructure development.
