Description
The project funding provided by the Senator for Culture Bremen supports temporary artistic and cultural initiatives that contribute to strengthening the diversity, networking, quality, and innovative capacity of the independent cultural scene in Bremen. As a grant program in the field of culture and media, the procedure targets individual projects from disciplines such as visual arts, film and media, literature, music, dance, theater, performance, intercultural cultural work, cultural education, queer and women's culture, as well as urban culture and cultural exchange. Applications can be submitted annually through an online form in the general procedure. The goal is to promote Bremen’s creative potential and highlight innovative approaches to sustainably network and further develop the local scene.
Eligible for funding are artists, cultural practitioners, independent initiatives, associations, and non-profit organizations with their seat or residence in Bremen and proven artistic activity on site. The application deadline for the general procedure 2027 runs from September 1 to September 30, 2026 (6:00 p.m.). Applicants must detail performance, scheduling, and financial planning in the online application. Selection is made by the Cultural Deputation of the Senate.
