Description
A nationwide scholarship supports committed doctoral candidates from all disciplines (excluding human and dental medicine) during their doctoral phase with a monthly grant of €1,650 as well as a research allowance of €100. In addition to financial support, the ideal promotion includes a practice-oriented seminar program, individual mentoring offers by experienced speakers, and an active network within university groups. The aim is to accompany excellent early-career researchers in their research projects, provide interdisciplinary impulses, and strengthen socio-political engagement. Applications are possible twice a year, by January 15 and July 15, respectively.
Eligible to participate are doctoral candidates with above-average academic achievements, regular voluntary engagement, and a clear identification with Christian-democratic values. Funding is provided exclusively for living expenses, research costs, and foreign allowances; tuition fees or multiple degree programs are not covered. The application must include a scientific exposé, a detailed CV, the final degree certificate, and a reference letter from the supervisor. Selection is based on academic performance, the quality of the doctoral project, and societal commitment. Interested early-career researchers have the opportunity here to develop their scientific career in an interdisciplinary environment and to sustainably advance their own research work.
