Description
The funding program "Psychosocial Process Support" in Lower Saxony supports public institutions in providing free psychosocial support for victims of crimes during criminal proceedings. It aims to ensure a comprehensive expansion of a network of victim support facilities and to professionally accompany affected individuals before, during, and after the main hearing. As a non-repayable grant, the funding covers up to 80% of eligible personnel expenses – up to €6,000 per year for deployment of up to 0.5 full-time equivalents, and up to €12,000 beyond that. The grant is awarded for an approval period of twelve months and can be applied for continuously.
Eligible applicants are legal entities under public law based in Lower Saxony that implement a free service in accordance with the Lower Saxony PsychPbG and NPsychPbVO. Requirements include proof of qualified process supporters, fulfillment of structural criteria, regular public relations work, as well as timely submission of statistics and activity reports. Applications – including the application form (Annex 1), financing plan (Annex 2), annex to the financing plan (Annex 3), fund request (Annex 4), proof of expenditure, and qualifications of the professionals – can be submitted at any time to the Higher Regional Court of Oldenburg – Outpatient Judicial Social Service Lower Saxony. This funding offer not only sustainably strengthens the individual support of victim groups but also secures the statewide service provision in the long term.
