Description
A low-interest loan in Hesse enables private builders and owners of owner-occupied residential buildings to acquire and professionally install photovoltaic systems with a capacity of up to 20 kW, including battery storage and modern control/regulation technology. The financing covers up to 90% of the eligible investment costs and is designed per project with a minimum balance of €10,000 and a maximum of €50,000. Over a term of 120 months, the borrower also receives an interest subsidy of up to 1% p.a. on the repayment rate. Currently, applications are paused; however, reopening is planned as home-stored solar energy gains further importance.
With a view to the climate policy transition, this program specifically promotes the decentralized expansion of renewable energies and the optimization of self-consumption in private properties. Applicants must be natural persons who own an owner-occupied residential property in Hesse, contribute at least 10% equity, and submit the application before the start of installation work. A professional acceptance by a qualified company ensures quality standards and the sustainable performance of the energy system. By combining photovoltaics, storage technology, and intelligent control, not only is the share of self-generated electricity increased, but an active contribution to climate protection is also made.
