Qualification for Trainers and Instructors

The Children and Youth Football Jena – Foundation for the Promotion of Football Youth Development enables interested clubs in Thuringia to continuously qualify youth coaches and trainers. In annual training programs, practical training modules are delivered by experienced instructors. The aim of the funding initiative is to sustainably improve the quality of training in children’s and youth football and to provide the best possible support for young talents. Eligible for funding are recognized interest groups and clubs active in the fields of sports, education and training, as well as youth development. Applications for grants can be submitted at any time.

The program includes both theoretical inputs on training methodology, children’s sports pedagogy, and team management, as well as practical sessions on the field. The grant relieves participants of costs for seminar fees and materials, enabling clubs to specifically further develop their coaches. In addition to professional exchange on site, the qualification promotes the establishment of a statewide network of trainers, which benefits in the long term from shared experiences. This continuous support significantly contributes to professionalizing the children’s and youth sector in Thuringian football clubs at a high level.
