Description
A novel innovation initiative in Burgenland specifically promotes vocational training and further education in forward-looking technology fields. Companies in Burgenland can claim a flat-rate subsidy to enable their employees to participate in a part-time bachelor's degree program. The support covers fields of study such as IT infrastructure management, business informatics with a focus on digitalization, software engineering, as well as applied electronics and photonics – particularly in the areas of lighting technology and vehicle electronics. Per semester, 15 to 20 days off for education are available, with a standard study load of 20 semester hours and 30 ECTS credits. The funding is provided in the form of a grant and is continuously available.
With this program, the state of Burgenland aims to strengthen the innovation potential of regional companies and sustainably expand digitalization competencies. Eligible for funding are companies based in Burgenland whose employees are enrolled in one of the aforementioned part-time bachelor's degree programs. The flat-rate for education leave days is subsidized to ensure smooth operational processes despite intensive study phases.
