Eligible to participate are actively and full-time enrolled PhD or M.Sc. students as well as postdocs from all EU countries who are about to publish or have already submitted scientific publications or theses in English. The prize money of EUR 2,500 recognizes innovative analyses, technological advancements, and contributions to food safety, and promotes networking between research and practice in the fields of science, health, labor, and social affairs.
Applications require a cover letter with the applicants’ contact details, a one- to two-page summary of the research work (A4 format), a tabular CV, and a letter of recommendation from supervising professors or mentors. Evaluation criteria include completeness of the submission, relevance of the research project to the award’s objectives, degree of innovation, and the applicants’ professional qualifications. Interested parties may submit documents by June 30, 2026, to be considered for the award presentation at an international industry meeting. This funding opportunity is equally aimed at early-career researchers who wish to make a significant contribution to the quality initiative in the European fruit juice industry through their commitment.
